Trip to Yellow Mountain

It was one of those days of hiking in the mountains and take some pictures of the landscape, what better place to go to Yellow Mountain where it is mixed land and sea?
We start from the direction Hoya Costa del Silencio, after about 8 km drive, we reached the place of yellow. It was a cloudy afternoon, a penalty for failing to see the Teide. We got to walk the path up to the mountaintop, where you can see inside the cone. The truth is it's a very comfortable trip unless strong slope. Views allow you easily see the entire coastline of the municipality, and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks and earth eating
This volcanic cone located on the coast of San Miguel, on the same coast, covers an area of 27.8 hectares and a maximum height of 73 meters.
As a result of erosion which is subject, has been uncovered a fossil from the lavas cover a coastal cliff that reaches 30 meters high, to show the internal structure of the cone. Saturday, January 16, 2010This year the Captain's House in San Miguel, was chosen by the Tenerife Association of Rural Tourism to hold its annual meeting. San Miguel Bed and Casa Vera de la Hoya were represented by Charles at this important meeting where they discussed the situation of rural tourism in Tenerife and evolution.
